RBP007: BURNING LUNG - ÀLTI LIEB ROSCHT NÌT

"Honey, I'm home..."

After a hiatus between 2011 and 2014, due to heavy injuries, involvement in Novosibirsk and running Ritual Boredoom, Dominik "Virvaliekki" Metzger resuscitated Burning Lung.

Following the success of the 2 demos in 2010 and 2011, Virvaliekki recorded 2 EPs during the 2014 Spring Equinox, and now they're ready to be unleashed.

The first one, Àlti Lieb Roscht nìt, is now available on the Ritual Boredoom Bandcamp page.

Burning Lung goes on new territories, playing a lousy choked folk mixed with ethno ambient music. There are obviously still some dark drone features on the record.

We're pleased to announce that Lofoten, our newest member in Ritual Boredoom, finally released her first demo today, available on our Bandcamp page.

Lofoten is a one woman band, playing synths ambient related music. Imagine Klaus Schulze eating mushrooms while in holydays in Egypt, and you'll have a hint about what to expect. Séphora Péry, a talented photographer, formed this project in 2013 and we're pleased to welcome her soundscapes in the Ritual Boredoom family.

Probably in the next few days... More informations to come very soon. A second EP should come right after that. Hell yeah.

NEW RITUALS TO COME : LOFOTEN AND BURNING LUNG

We're very proud to announce that a whole new project has recently joined Ritual Boredoom. More informations about this will come in the next few weeks. Expect some mind blowing new ritual space music.
 
Lofoten, a one woman band, has not yet been included in our "roster" section on the blog, but it will be very soon. Nevertheless, the "Roster'' section was also updated with new biographies.

We're also pleased to announce that Burning Lung is now officially reactivated. Burning Lung activities were postponed between 2011 and 2014, because of Virvaliekki's severe health problems, his involvement with Novosibirsk, running Ritual Boredoom, and therefore the lack of time to be able to combine everything. However, Spring 2014 is his rebirth period. Expect some new sounds this year.

Spring Cleaning

This blog has been updated and cleaned a little.

The "Catalogue" section is now more ergonomic, the "Listen /Download / Purchase" section has been updated with very important infos, and many more details have been improved all over this whole website.

Some infos about our artists:

- Galaxial Asylum album is still not available... We're really sorry about the delay, we wanted to release it this winter, ans it sucks not to have this masterpiece available for you yet.

We currently have some problems with the artwork of this album. As soon as we will have it, the record will be available. That is to say, we hope it will be very soon.

- Novosibirsk will release its first album very soon after the Galaxial Asylum record.
It will be a five pieces Ambient album, called ''Kultur SCUD"

- Burning Lung should come back sooner than planned. As you know, this project is currently on ice and inactive. This come back, however, will be under an other name and under another perspective... More infos will come this year, about the new name, and the plans of Burning Lung about its brighter future.

Time to move on

Hey everyone,

first of all, you may have noticed that we changed our URL adress. The "-prod" was deleted, in order to short the whole thing. Now you can find us on "ritual-boredoom.blogspot.com". It messes some stuffs up, as in google you first access to our old URL, but things should be better with time.

So, here are some important news. As we told you a few months ago, we were very unpleased of the new version of Soundcloud.

We felt it to be far less intuitive than it used to be, and didn't want to stream our Sounds via this website anymore.

So, we decided to change some stuffs over here. Now you can access to our music via our new Bancamp page. Not very original we admit, but still we thought it was the best thing to do for your listening comfort.

So, in addition to the Ritual Boredoom Bandcamp, each artist on the RBP's roster will also have a Bandcamp page. You'll be able to download or purchase our music via these personnal bandcamps.

For the moment, you can access Burning Lung and Catastase personal Bandcamps. More to follow !

This page has also been updated, you can find all the infos about these changes on the "Listen & Download" page of this site, and some little stuffs all around the website.

We know we didn't give a lot of informations on the next Ritual Boredoom releases, but don't worry, they are still planned.

Galaxial Asylum's album, "Arène Celeste", is still predicted to be released this year. You will be able to find more sounds of this promising album very soon. For the moment, you can still check the two tracks available on the Ritual Boredoom bandcamp! Galaxial Asylum's bio to come soon

Novosibirsk is also in the house ! After their first gig at the Boule de Noyse festival in Reims, they decided to focus on their first record. They have enough improvisations now to release something, and you can listen to two tracks on the Ritual Boredoom Bandcamp. The rest of the album still have to be roughly mix, and the RBP005 should be their record. We won't plan any date for this, but it should be available shortly after the Galaxial Asylum release. The Novosibirsk's bio was recently updated.

Also, П is back to life! He's currently working on his next release, and some news (and sounds!) will be available later. He didn't released anything official since the split with Burning Lung, but as promised, this project is not dead and you will hear about it at some time.

About Burning Lung, he's still dreaming in R'lyeh and does not plan to come back to terrorize you for the moment. Virvaliekki is currently focused with Novosibirsk, and we remind you that the EP "Contre Jour" has been postponed to a undefined date.

Burning Lung's EP "Contre-Jour" postponed

Burning Lung's new record, originally planned to be released in the beginning of 2013, will finally be postponed to an unknown date. Bad news for the moment, but this EP isn't cancelled at all and will be released on Ritual Boredoom.

Here are some explanations : I suffer from a back injury for about one year and a half now, and each and every movements are still very painful right now.

I had to stay in bed 8 months and wasn't able to play, and even if now I'm able to walk a little and restart my life back to what it should be, this injury still occupies my mind hugely. 

I composed some stuffs for "Contre-Jour", and I already know how this record will sound. Shorter (that mean less than 20 minutes ;-) ) industrial experimentations, synths related, still combined with some ethnic droning sounds. It should be really different from "Laïka Sonic Disaster".

But as I'm still heavily injured and weak, I have now to choose how I should spend my energy. It begins by thinking about my health, rest, and take care of myself. 

But I'm not forgetting music at all, as I will still run this label with 100% of my heart, and also continue to organise gigs with my comrades of Caktus (by the way, as I said in the previous news, we currently organise the second edition of the Pacemaker Festival in Reims. Follow the link and stay tuned, come visit us in November!). 
I'm also involved in tiring rehearsals with the Novosibirk DK, preparing our future recording and the gigs we will perform...

To make it short, all those music related occupations don't let me enough strength to focus on Burning Lung the way I would like to, considering my current health problems. The wiser decision to make is to slow down my solo project, in order to come back in a great shape, and darker than ever.

Thanks a lot for all the support I received with this project during the past 3 years. Believe me, Burning Lung is not dead yet. He just need to take a deep breath, fix his fucking broken back, and he will be back to make some Occult Noise soon.

New additions to the Roster

Heavy schedule to come for Ritual Boredoom Productions. We are glad to announce that 2 new bands joined us recently.

- "Galaxial Asylum", ambient project of the great pianist Kévin Francis, joined Ritual Boredoom and will release its first album, "Arène Celeste", around next Christmas.
Check the "To be released" section to see all the new physical copies we are planning to make. There are good surprises.

Great news... Also, the Ritual Boredoom Soundcloud will be updated soon. For now, there are only some songs available, but soon all the releases will be there, in integrality. Of course, for the moment, you can find all the music on the soundclouds of the respective artists, for example Burning Lung or Catastase. But you'll be able to find everything on the same page in a few weeks.

And 10 ! Burning Lung is not dead

Since its creation in the end of year 2009, it is now the 10th time that Burning Lung is invited to share his droning processions on a great compilation. The 10th time, and only the second participation on a french label compilation, despite being based currently in France. (seems to be more easy for this project to cross oceans than to cross rivers)

This time, this is the great label Partycul System who invited Burning Lung on the CD "Cyclotron#2". The song proposed by BL is called "Nyctalope", a five minutes sitar piece improvised and recorded in not even one afternoon, a few hours before the deadline. Due to the lack of time, this production is roughly mixed, but still occult...

Also, on "Cyclotron#2", you'll find great artists such as Lena Circus, Rroselicoeur, 4tReck, chevo légé,... So much reasons to get it soon ! Orders are possible via Partycul System (check the Links section), or via Ritual Boredoom Productions (check the contact section on the right)
